ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Conduct a comprehensive assessment of our current paper-based processes, including forms, approvals, and data management.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, data analysis, and digital transformation throughout the organisation.
  • Research and evaluate construction management software solutions (CMMS) and custom-develop digital tools using relevant technologies (e.g., online forms, document management systems) to streamline specific processes.
  • Develop and implement standard digital templates for commonly used forms, permits, and reports.
  • Integrate digital solutions with existing systems (if applicable) to ensure seamless data flow and improve project visibility.
  • Oversee the implementation and user adoption of new digital tools, providing training and support to all employees.
  • Develop and maintain clear documentation for all digital processes and procedures. Ensuring user-friendliness and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Monitor the performance of digital solutions and identify areas for continuous improvement.
  • Stay up to date on the latest trends and technologies in the construction and demolition industry. Particularly those related to construction tech and safety innovation.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (project management, operations, safety, IT) to ensure successful digital adoption and project success.

PERSON REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science (or equivalent) preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on optimising workflows and improving efficiency.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to a changing environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in construction or engineering (desirable).
  • Strong understanding of demolition workflows, safety protocols, and permitting processes (desirable).
  • Experience with construction management software (CMMS) with demolition-specific features (highly preferred).
  • Experience with digital transformation initiatives within a construction or demolition company (highly preferred).
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
  • Knowledge of document management systems.
  • Certifications in Microsoft 365 applications (a plus).
  • Understanding of data analysis tools and ability to generate reports.
