Demolition Consultancy
Engineered Solutions
Engineering out risk from your project
Colemans provides planning and consultancy services to ensure projects run on time, within regulations and to the highest possible safety standards. Make sure your site is ready to go with a robust programme and a deliverable cost plan, whether we are completing the full programme of works or acting in an advisory role.
Through strategic planning and deconstruction consultancy, Colemans helps you to achieve your project goals and optimise results for others – for your stakeholders, the industry and the environment. However, it’s important to consider these areas of focus as early as possible in the project design phase.
Experienced consultants
With more than 60 years of experience, we recognise that early involvement can prevent significant project
delays and financial risk. The later into the project, the harder it is to rectify errors without incurring delays
and extra costs.
Using all of our experience in engineered demolition, deconstruction, cutting and remediation works, we have been employed as consultants even when not working on the project itself. We have also worked on many projects where we have been commissioned using an early works agreement (EWA or PCA). This is to make sure that the site is ready to go, with a robust programme and a deliverable cost plan.
Our demolition consultancy services include:
- Pre-demolition Audit
- Planning a project timeline and critical path
- Developing detailed cost plans supported by risk registers to provide full visibility before contracts
- 3D Survey - Field notes, date, and time stamped
- Using 4D animations to create virtual environments and experience what the project will look like once on site
- Providing quantified data on our environmental impacts (Embodied Carbon)
- Enabling whole life cycle cost and carbon management
- Preparing for planning applications
- Ensuring that services are correctly isolated / diverted
- Designing temporary works schemes that are fit for purpose and support project goals
- Visiting sites with an experienced team to fully evaluate physical site risks
- Carry out structural investigations and structural analysis, including global stability analysis
- Completing hazardous waste materials (HAZMAT) surveys, including for chemicals and asbestos removal
- Completing ground investigation and contaminated spoil analysis, plus remediation strategies to suit

Demolition consultancy in practice
We believe in the power of circular economy principles, and our groundbreaking Green Steel initiative is one example of delivering benefits through planning and consultancy. We identify reusable steel sections and develop materials passport procedures, before carefully dismantling, re-engineering and repurposing steel to be used in construction.
This isn’t just responsible, it’s essential. For every ton of steel produced, a staggering 1.85 tons of carbon are emitted into the environment. Our Green Steel policy allows us to save 90% of the carbon compared with new steel production, making a significant impact.
Put your trust in Colemans to deliver open, honest and transparent information, in line with internationally-recognised standards, that support objectives and helps boost reputation.
